Even the king of cats needs an “espresso” prawling through Italy!

Kimba the lion spotted walking through Ladispoli, west of Rome at night taking in the views as he casually contemplates the “Born Free” slogan - has been captured and returned to the circus it escaped from.

Videos posted on social media show the big cat roaming the streets looking rather too content with himself, thank the lucky stars no dog walkers were coming the other way, would give a whole new meaning to sausage dog “mama mia”.

After a 5 hour police operation Kimba was finally sedated and checked over by authoraties who deemed him a cool cat! Circus owner Rony Vassallo said the lion was doing just fine, and that investigations were under way to find out how he escaped.
